...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Dangerously hot temperatures of 100-110 degrees are possible. Very warm overnight temperatures of 65-70 degrees are possible as well. * WHERE...The Shasta, Scott and Klamath River Valleys in central and western Siskiyou County. This includes the communities of Weed, Yreka, Montague, Etna, Ft Jones, Happy Camp and Somes Bar. * WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Monday night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief from hot daytime temperatures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
