The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 8 AM to 11 PM PDT Friday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 299. * WIND...West to Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. * HUMIDITY...Minimum RH values down to 10 to 20 percent. * HIGHEST THREAT...Close to and along the slopes. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly.
