...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SAN MATEO COUNTY
UNTIL 1230 AM PST...

At 1201 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
over El Granada, or 7 miles south of Pacifica, moving northeast at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and half inch size
hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
San Francisco, Daly City, San Mateo, Redwood City, South San
Francisco, San Bruno, Pacifica, Foster City, Burlingame, San
Carlos, Belmont, Millbrae, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough,
Highlands-Baywood Park, El Granada, Brisbane, Colma, Highlands and
Montara.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM PST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following
counties, northwestern Alameda and western Contra Costa.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1154 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oakland, Concord, Berkeley, Richmond, San Leandro, Mountain
View, Alameda, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Pittsburg, Dublin,
Danville, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo, Lafayette, El

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

MORNING...

A slight chance of thunderstorms will spread across the coastal
waters and bays tonight into Monday morning with the highest
probabilities north of Pigeon Point. Any thunderstorms that form
will be capable of producing local gale force winds and rough
seas, lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced visibility, and
waterspouts.
