* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet with dangerous rip
currents.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.

NM and Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal from 10 to 60 NM.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 3 PM PDT this
afternoon. For the Gale Warning, from 3 PM this afternoon to 3
AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will create dangerous sea conditions
which could capsize or damage small and large vessels.
