...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures in the 80s at the beaches to the mid to upper 90s along higher coastal terrain on Thursday with morning low temperatures in the lower to mid 70s. * WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas and San Diego County Coastal Areas. * WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Major to Extreme HeatRisk through today. Moderate to Major HeatRisk on Thursday. Warm overnight low temperature will limit relief from the heat. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
