COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM PST...

At 401 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Cameron Park, moving north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible. Funnel cloud may be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Auburn, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Lake Of The Pines, Coloma,
Rescue, Greenwood, Pilot Hill, Cool, Garden Valley, Lotus, Applegate,
Chiquita Lake, Shingle Springs, Georgetown, Foresthill, North Auburn,
Clarksville, and Meadow Vista.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the
following counties, in central California, Placer. In northern
California, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada,
Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter,
Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 101 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated areas of moderate to
heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to occur in
the advisory area through Christmas Day, resulting in
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Elk Grove, Roseville, Citrus
Heights, Tracy, Folsom, Turlock, Rocklin, Ceres, Galt,
Oakdale, Auburn, Grass Valley, Marysville, Placerville,

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. total accumulations up to a foot
between 4500 to 5500 feet. 4 to 8 feet, with locally higher
amounts above 5500 feet. Wind gusts up to 60 mph.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
County/Lassen Park Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous travel conditions with chain controls and road
closures. Localized tree damage, power outages, and low visibility
due to the combination of heavy wet snow and strong winds.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will be around 4500 to 5500 feet
today through Friday. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour at
times.
