...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following areas, Mendocino Coast, Northeastern Mendocino Interior, Northern Humboldt Coast, Northern Humboldt Interior, Northern Lake, Northwestern Mendocino Interior, Southeastern Mendocino Interior, Southern Humboldt Interior, Southern Lake, Southern Trinity, Southwestern Humboldt and Southwestern Mendocino Interior. * WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON... ...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 11 AM PST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...High astronomical tides and large surf may cause moderate to major flooding in low lying areas along the Redwood Coast. Up to 1.5 foot of saltwater inundation above ground level is possible in low lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Northern Humboldt Coast County. * WHEN...From Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. . * IMPACTS...Several coastal roads may be closed. Low lying property and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Coastal Flood Watch means that flooding is possible but not imminent. Coastal residents in the watch area should begin preparations for rising water and take appropriate action to protect life and property.
