...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Hot conditions with maximum temperatures in the mid-90s to
near 105. Mild minimum temperatures and weak onshore flow will
limit overnight relief.

Santa Lucia Range, Most of San Benito County and the Cholame Hills

* IMPACTS...This level of heat affects anyone without effective
cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts likely in some health
systems, heat-sensitive industries and infrastructure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Hydration is a critical piece to surviving the heat. Drink water, and

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 7:33 PM Oct. 7, 2026 – National Weather Service
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM FRIDAY TO 3 PM PDT
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Up to 1.2 ft of inundation above ground level is
possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

* WHERE...Bayshore locations along the San Francisco and Monterey
Bays.

* WHEN...From 9 AM Friday to 3 PM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
isolated road closures expected. High tides will result in
flooding along coastal trails, cut off access to some low-
lying beaches and coastal areas, and bring water and waves
farther up the beach than typical.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide
is expected to be 1.0 ft above normal (6.86 ft MLLW) at 11:22
AM Friday 10/9, 1.2 ft above normal (7.06 ft MLLW) at 11:50 AM
Saturday 10/10, 1.2 ft above normal (7.08 ft MLLW) at 12:18 PM
Sunday 10/11, 1.2 ft above normal (7.03 ft MLLW) at 12:46 PM
Monday 10/12, 1.1 ft above normal (6.90 ft MLLW) at 1:14 PM
Tuesday 10/13, and 0.9 ft above normal (6.72 ft MLLW) at 1:46 PM
Wednesday 10/14. These predictions include up to 1.0 ft of
surge that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding
threat. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along
the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay,
respectively.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
