...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM PDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southern California, including the following county, San Bernardino. * WHEN...Until 1230 AM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1026 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.75 inches fell within 30 minutes earlier this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree Lake Campground and Joshua Tree. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Minor flooding is ongoing. Up to 0.75 inches of rain fell in half an hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 914 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. &&

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM PDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following areas, Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Coachella Valley, Riverside County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San Diego County Deserts, San Diego County Mountains and San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. * WHEN...Until 2 AM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms will spread northward across the area through tonight with heaviest rainfall through the early evening. Some thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding.
