...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MST THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Southeast Arizona, including the following areas, Baboquivari Mountains, Catalina and Rincon Mountains, Dragoon and Mule and Huachuca and Santa Rita Mountains, Tohono O'odham Nation, Tucson Metro Area, Upper San Pedro River Valley and Upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley. * WHEN...From 11 AM MST this morning through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of of deeper atmospheric moisture moving into Southeast Arizona from the south and an approaching weather system will result in widespread showers and thunderstorms. ...BLOWING DUST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM MST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Numerous thunderstorms with strong thunderstorm outflow wind gusts of 35-45 mph will result in blowing dust lowering visibility between one-quarter and one mile at times. * WHERE...South Central Pinal County, Tohono O'odham Nation, and Tucson Metro Area. * WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM MST this evening. * IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons with respiratory problems should make preparations to stay indoors until the storm passes. Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility to near zero. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching, pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park.
