The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Gila County in east central Arizona... Navajo County in north central Arizona... * Until 700 PM MST. * At 324 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over Fort Apache. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Whiteriver, Rainbow City, Seven Mile, Turkey Creek, Fort Apache, Canyon Day and East Fork. This includes State Route 73 between mile markers 332 and 341. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... West Turkey Creek, East Fork White River and Nash Creek. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. && FLASH FLOOD...RADAR INDICATED; FLASH FLOOD DAMAGE THREAT...CONSIDERABLE
