...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of South Central Arizona, including the following county, east central Pima. * WHEN...Until 315 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1209 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tanque Verde, Vail, Corona De Tucson, East Sahuarita, Saguaro National Park East, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Catalina Foothills, Rita Ranch, Mescal and Seven Falls. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. &&
