Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 214 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Cave Creek, Skunk Creek, New River, Apache Wash, Deadman Wash, Grapevine Wash, Rodger Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Salt River and Agua Fria River. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorm capable of producing high rainfall rates that can result in flash flooding.
