Northeastern Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 545 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 247 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.7 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of East Central Pima and Northeastern Santa Cruz Counties. - This includes Route 83 between mile markers 37 and 41. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. This will cause small stream flooding. Rapid river rises will cause minor flooding in Vamori Wash. - Vamori Wash is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
