* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* Until 445 PM MST.

* At 418 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Aguila, or 17
miles west of Wickenburg, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
Maricopa County.

This includes US Highway 60 between mile markers 86 and 96.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the
following county, Maricopa.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 407 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Phoenix, Glendale, Surprise, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, El
Mirage, Tolleson, Youngtown, Cashion, Waddell, Sun City,
Litchfield Park, Phoenix International Raceway, Luke AFB,
Camelback Ranch, Estrella Mountain Park, Glendale Sports

- At 344 PM MST, A trained weather spotters reported a water
rescue near the intersection of Happy Valley Road and 187th
Avenue. Heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms
is ongoing. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Glendale, Surprise, Goodyear, Buckeye, Wittmann, Circle City,

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with
water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 249 PM MST, Emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing. Up to
1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wickenburg, Tonopah and Morristown.
