...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR GILA AND YAVAPAI COUNTIES... At 718 PM MST, Thunderstorms producing heavy rain west of Rye have moved out of the warned area, but lighter showers continue to redevelop. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mazatzal Peak. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Deadman Creek, Davenport Wash, South Fork Deadman Creek, Wet Bottom Creek and North Fork Deadman Creek. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded as well. Get out of washes and creeks if you are camping or hiking!
