...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Oak Creek from Pump House Wash to Sedona to Cornville.

* Until 1015 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 720 PM MST, A stream gage in Sedona indicated water levels
continued to fall, while downstream in Cornville, water
levels continue to rise. Expect flood waters to progress
downstream toward Cornville reaching a crest around 9:00 PM
MST this evening.
- This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Spring Creek, Dry Creek, Turkey Creek and Oak Creek.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sedona, Cathedral Rock, Page Springs, Munds Mountain
Wilderness, Slide Rock State Park, Cornville, Red Rock State
Park, Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness and Indian Gardens.

For Oak Creek at Cornville:
At 7:00pm the stage was 5.26 feet and rising.
Forecast: A crest of 5.5 feet is expected at 9:00pm
Wednesday.

For Oak Creek at Oak Creek at Sedona:
At 6:45pm the stage was 4.84 feet and falling.
Impacts:
At 5.0 feet: Multiple private low water crossings and bridges
over Oak Creek above Sedona become impassable.
- This includes the following recreation areas and
campgrounds...
Windmill Park.

This includes the following swimming holes...
Slide Rock, Encinoso, Grasshopper Point, Midgely Bridge,
Buddha Beach "Red Rock Crossing", Crescent Moon Ranch and
Mormons Crossing.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Yavapai County from Cordes Junction to Black
Canyon City.

* Until 1015 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 714 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain between
Cordes Junction and Black Canyon City. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.


- This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
New River, Black Canyon, Ash Creek, Big Bug Creek, Black
Canyon Creek, Agua Fria River.

Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Agua Fria National Monument, Sunset Point Rest Area, Black
Canyon City, Cordes Lakes, Spring Valley, Lake Pleasant,
Bumble Bee, Cordes Junction, Arcosanti, Rock Springs, Castle
Creek Wilderness and Dugas.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 17 between mile markers 242 and 265.
