Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 157 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. - McClellan Wash is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. An automated stream gauge located at McClellan Wash and the CAP Canal reported a stage of 11 feet. At 12 feet, flooding is possible in Picacho and Eloy. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Picacho and Eloy. - This includes the following highways...
