...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST SUNDAY BELOW 4000 FEET... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions, with temperatures up to 102 below 4000 feet. * WHERE...Yavapai County Valleys and Basins. * WHEN...Until 8 PM MST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Pets, livestock, and those sensitive to heat, such as the homeless, elderly, and children will be at risk for heat-related illnesses. Those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration will be at the greatest risk. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing.
