Canyon Creek east of Young... * Until 900 PM MST. * At 558 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chediski Mountain, Chediski Peak, Grasshopper Butte and Pendleton Mesa. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Salt Creek, Black Canyon, Oak Creek, Bear Creek, Canyon Creek, Foot Canyon, Carrizo Creek, Cibecue Creek and Spring Creek. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
