...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM MST /9 AM MDT/ TO 7 PM MST /8 PM MDT/ TUESDAY... * WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts from 45 to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Yavapai County, Marble and Glen Canyons, Chinle Valley, Chuska Mountains and Defiance Plateau, White Mountains, and Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons. * WHEN...From 8 AM MST /9 AM MDT/ to 7 PM MST /8 PM MDT/ Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could snap resulting in a few power outages. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Patchy blowing dust will lead to reduced visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MST /8 PM MDT/ THIS EVENING FOR THE WHITE MOUNTAINS NORTHWARD TO THE CHUSKA MOUNTAINS... ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MST /NOON MDT/ TO 7 PM MST /8 PM MDT/ TUESDAY FOR THE WHITE MOUNTAINS NORTHWARD TO THE CHUSKA MOUNTAINS... * AFFECTED AREA...Locations near Alpine, Buffalo Pass, Eagar- Springerville, Ganado, Pinetop-Lakeside, Saint Johns, Show Low, Whiteriver and Window Rock. This includes portions of the Apache- Sitgreaves National Forest. * WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent. * IMPACTS...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fires to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring or are imminent.
