...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Arkansas, including the following counties, Crawford and Washington AR. * WHEN...Until 945 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 740 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cedarville... Mountainburg... Natural Dam... Winslow... Chester... ...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Ottawa, Pushmataha and Sequoyah. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Shower and thunderstorm redevelopment this afternoon is expected across the watch area. Additional rainfall amounts combined with previous rainfall will maintain a flood threat through this evening.
