...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas, including
the following counties, in northwest Arkansas, Benton, Carroll,
Crawford, Madison and Washington AR. In west central Arkansas,
Franklin and Sebastian.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 422 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Estimates between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen
over the past three hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties,
Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and
Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties,
Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Craig, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le
Flore, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Ottawa, Pittsburg, Pushmataha,
Sequoyah and Wagoner.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall will
continue into this evening. Widespread rainfall totals
between 2 to 5 inches are forecast, with locally heavier
totals up to 7 inches.
