THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILL ALLOW TORNADO WATCH 197 TO EXPIRE AT 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ARKANSAS THIS ALLOWS TO EXPIRE 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS MADISON WASHINGTON AR IN WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS FRANKLIN THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CHARLESTON, FAYETTEVILLE, HUNTSVILLE, OZARK, AND SPRINGDALE.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas, including the following counties, in northwest Arkansas, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Madison and Washington AR. In west central Arkansas, Franklin and Sebastian. * WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 422 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Estimates between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over the past three hours. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayetteville... Springdale... Rogers... Bentonville... Berryville... Ozark...
