central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma.

* WHEN...Until noon CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills will result in
hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not spend extra time in the cold. Wear layers of warm clothes a
hat, and gloves.

Check on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable
heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and sleet expected through Sunday afternoon.
North of Interstate 40, additional accumulations between 4 and 8
inches, locally up to 10 inches. Blowing and drifting snow may
occur. South of Interstate 40, a mixture of snow and sleet will
occur, with additional accumulation of 1 to 6 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east
central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous to near impossible travel conditions are
expected areawide, with impacts likely to continue into next week
given the forecasted snow and sleet amounts. Localized power
outages may occur. Brutally cold temperatures will prevail into
early next week. Warming shelters should be considered.
