in dense fog. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as
low as 27 expected. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 20 possible.

* WHERE...Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay,
Cleburne, Coosa, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Perry, Pickens,
Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, and
Tuscaloosa Counties.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 8 AM CST this morning.
For the Freeze Warning, from 1 AM to 9 AM CST Monday. For the
Freeze Watch, from Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.

Those that have in ground sprinkler systems should drain them and
cover above ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
