...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Alabama, including
the following counties, in south central Alabama, Wilcox. In
southwest Alabama, Clarke.

* WHEN...Until 415 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 108 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Thomasville, Pine Hill, Finley Crossing, Atkeison, Sunny
South, Hestle, Roundhill, Rural, Kimbrough, Springfield,
Arlington, MacMillan and Anne Manie.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tombigbee River near Leroy.

* WHEN...From Friday morning to Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Flooding of low lying farm and
pasturelands begins. Cattle in low lying areas should be moved to
higher ground. Water approaches low lying roads on west side of
river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Friday morning to a crest of 24.8 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday
morning.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Pastureland becomes flooded. Livestock
should be moved to higher ground. Old Ferry Road near the river
begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Friday morning to a crest of 29.8 feet early Saturday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
29.8 feet on 02/09/2014.
