* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Styx River near Elsanor.

* WHEN...Until Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Major Flood stage. Water is near and under
low lying houses on Donovan Circle with the road flooded. Goat
Cooper and Waterworld Roads impassable, with major flooding near
the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 17.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 5.0 feet Wednesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Florida side of bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 14.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.1 feet
early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
