Storms weaken or moving out of the area Friday night. * Location...From Palmer north along the Parks Highway to Chulitna, along the Denali Highway, and western Susitna Valley including Skwentna. * Thunderstorm Coverage...Scattered to widely scattered likely. * Winds...Southwest 5 to 10 mph. Gusty and erratic winds expected near thunderstorms. * Relative Humidity...As low as 32 percent. * Temperatures...In the mid to upper 70s for lower elevations. * Impacts...Ample lightning could lead to numerous new fire starts. * Additional Details...Thunderstorms are expected to be wet with brief, heavy downpours likely.
