...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 4 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph over high terrain and 30 mph in valleys, strongest Saturday night and early Sunday morning. * WHERE...Central Interior, Fairbanks North Star Borough, Nenana Hills, Nenana, Northern Denali Borough, White Mountains and High Terrain South of the Yukon River. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be a break in the snow tonight through about 7am Sunday morning but snow will redevelop and continue through most of the afternoon and into the evening on Sunday with lingering snow showers possible into early Monday morning. There will then be another break in the snow for most of Monday before an additional round of snow moves in on Tuesday with the potential for periods of snow persisting through Thursday morning. There is high uncertainty with accumulations from Tuesday through Thursday, but an additional 6 or more inches is not out of the realm of possibilities. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
