MONDAY FOR LIGHTNING...

* AFFECTED AREA...Southern portions of the Central and Eastern Interior.

* TIMING...From 10 AM to 10 PM AKDT Monday.

* THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered.

* WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 30 mph.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to
scattered wet thunderstorms. These storms will bring frequent
lightning strikes and gusty winds that are expected to cause
new fire ignitions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.
