...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM SATURDAY TO
3 PM AKST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 14 to
19 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Haines Borough and Klukwan.

* WHEN...From 3 AM Saturday to 3 PM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult and is discouraged
unless it is an emergency. Gusty winds could bring down tree
branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will first begin along the Haines
Highway late tonight into early Saturday. As temperatures drop,
precipitation will change into all snow in Haines at sea level
Saturday late morning. Highest snow accumulations remain along
the highway at higher elevations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water
with you in case of an emergency.

People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of
winter weather.
