...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches.
Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Western Kenai Peninsula.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional snow showers and a shift in the
wind from north to south is expected this evening. Snow and gusty
winds may linger into Saturday for communities along Kachemak Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous. If you must travel, keep
an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
