For the Cold Weather Advisory, dangerously cold temperatures as low as 15 below expected. * WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau. * WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, until 6 AM AKST Tuesday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 AM to 6 PM AKST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Wear protective clothing such as a hat, facemask and heavy gloves or mittens if you have plans to be outdoors.
