...FLOOD WARNING FOR SNOWMELT NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM AKDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Grayling. * WHEN...Until 100 AM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 PM AKDT, The ice jam 10 miles downriver from Russian Mission released Wednesday evening, but a secondary ice jam was adjacent to Holy Cross and extended about 6 miles downriver is still in place Thursday evening. The Holy Cross runway is completely submerged and numerous structures in the lower part of town are surrounded with water being reported in several homes.
