...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Northeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 80 mph. * WHERE...Lower Matanuska Valley, including Palmer and Wasilla. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will be overnight tonight through Sunday evening. Winds will be slow to to weaken, likely not dropping below 60 mph until late Monday. As winds ramp up today, the light and powdery snow on the ground will easily blow around, leading to reduced visibility at times along area roads. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of widespread power outages. Use caution if you must drive. &&
