...First Round of Snowfall Across Portions of the Interior...

Light rain and snow will meander around the Interior. Locations
above 2000ft have the highest chance for snow through Monday
night but snow levels continue to drop to 1000ft Tuesday. Valley
locations, including Fairbanks, may see some snowflakes mix in
with rain beginning Tuesday night with flurries lingering into
Wednesday. Little to no accumulation is expected in the valleys
through Wednesday afternoon. Between 1000-2000ft, up to 1 inch of
snow is possible but there will be melting as the snow reaches the
ground. Above 2000ft, 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible through
Wednesday afternoon. Another round of light snow is becoming more
likely Wednesday night into Thursday with minor accumulations
possible, even in Fairbanks.
