Special Weather Statement
Issued: 9:20 PM Oct. 26, 2025 – National Weather Service
...MULTIPLE SYSTEMS EXPECTED THROUGH THE WORK WEEK...

A strong low pressure system is forecast to move into the eastern
Gulf of Alaska on Tuesday. After that round of wind and rain,
additional storm systems are forecast to move into the area
Wednesday to the weekend.

The current projected track of the additional lows later in the
week would suggest that high wind gusts near 60 mph would be
likely in the southern panhandle and accumulating snow would be
possible along the highways in the northern panhandle. Heavy rain
would also accompany the elevated winds across all of southeast
Alaska.

Marine Weather Statement
Issued: 9:20 PM Oct. 26, 2025 – National Weather Service
...MULTIPLE SYSTEMS IMPACT THE AREA THROUGH THE WEEK...

Starting Tuesday and lasting into the weekend, a series of strong
lows will impact the Gulf, coastal waters, and inner channels.

The first storm will begin to lift north from Haida Gwaii Tuesday
morning, bringing strong gales to storm force winds and seas of
20 to 30 ft around the Prince of Wales coast. Current forecast
projections have peak conditions Tuesday night.

Wednesday to Saturday, additional rounds of strong systems will
move quickly through the Gulf, once again bringing strong gales
or greater, with little to no break between systems.

Stay tuned to weather.gov/juneau or the NOAA Marine Weather Radio
for updates.
