...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Hot temperatures as high as 85 expected. * WHERE...Yukon Flats. * WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Individuals not accustomed to these hot temperatures may experience heat related illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will reach their peak during each afternoon from Friday through Sunday. Temperatures overnight will provide some relief but remain warm, around 55 to 65. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids and check up on elderly and vulnerable relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when working in the sun. Wear sunscreen and lightweight, loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Close curtains during the daytime to reduce sun insolation into the home and open windows at night to allow the home to cool off. Utilize fans or community buildings with air conditioning if available. &&
