A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Nearshore waters from Port Washington WI to Winthrop Harbor IL... Lake Michigan from Port Washington WI to Wind Point WI 5 nm off shore to mid lake... At 958 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm west of South Milwaukee to Oak Creek to near Wind Pt., moving northeast at 25 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. &&

At 953 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Big Bend to Franklin to near Racine. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Milwaukee, Racine, West Allis, Wauwatosa, Greenfield, Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, Cudahy, Greendale, St. Francis, Hales Corners, West Milwaukee, Franklin, Milwaukee Hoan Bridge, Caledonia, State Fair Park, Marquette University, Mitchell Park Domes, Milwaukee Co Zoo, and AmFam Field.
