At 705 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms with strong
outflow winds along a line extending from near Wellsville to 11
miles west of Hooper.
Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ogden, Brigham City, North Ogden, Hyrum, Perry, Wellsville, Willard,
Marriott-Slaterville, Mantua, Corinne, South Willard, Pleasant View,
Farr West, Harrisville, Plain City, Nibley, Honeyville, Paradise,
Avon, and Mantua Reservoir.

This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 347 and 369.

WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 478...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red
Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect until 9 PM MDT this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 478 Salt Lake Desert.

* WINDS...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now...or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
