The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued
an Ozone Action Day for the San Antonio area for Tuesday, May 13,
2025.

Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing
high levels of ozone air pollution in the San Antonio area on
Tuesday.

You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking
or riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive
through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your vehicle
properly tuned.

If required, the next Ozone Action Day will be issued by 3 PM
on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 9 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 110
degrees.

* WHERE...Much of south central Texas.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Tuesday to 9 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hot conditions continue through the weekend
and additional heat products may be needed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
