...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest and western Texas, including the
following areas, in southwest Texas, Central Brewster, Chinati
Mountains, Chisos Basin, Davis Mountains, Davis Mountains
Foothills, Lower Brewster County, Marfa Plateau, Pecos, Presidio
Valley and Terrell. In western Texas, Crane, Reagan, Reeves County
Plains, Upton and Ward.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of
creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- An upper level low pressure system will slowly move into West
Texas through late this week and will interact with abundant
moisture to bring increasing coverage of showers and
thunderstorms to the southern Permian Basin, Trans Pecos, Davis
Mountains, Marfa Plateau, and Big Bend region Thursday and
Friday. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with
localized amounts in excess of 4 inches will be possible through
late this week. Heavy rainfall may result in areas of flash
flooding.
