...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM SATURDAY TO NOON
CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations
between one quarter of an inch and one half of an inch. Isolated
amounts up to three quarters of an inch can't be ruled out, mainly
in eastern Central Texas. In addition, sleet and snow
accumulations up to one inch are also possible.

* WHERE...Central Texas.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Saturday to noon CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may
down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may
cause widespread and long-lasting power outages. Travel could be
impossible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Have an emergency kit ready in case of power outages. Check on
vulnerable friends and family.

Consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary,
drive with extreme caution. Take a winter storm kit along with you,
including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight,
shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid
kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you
become stranded.

CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 8 below zero
expected Sunday and Monday mornings. In addition, the air
temperature will fall as low as 6 above zero Monday morning.

* WHERE...Falls, Freestone, Limestone, McLennan, Navarro, Anderson,
Henderson, Leon, Van Zandt, and Robertson Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Saturday to noon CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills could result in hypothermia
or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not taken. Cold
temperatures will become life threatening to people and animals
outside without adequate warmth or shelter. Damage to plumbing is
likely if pipes are not properly drained or insulated.
