...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to one and a half inches and ice accumulations between two tenths and four tenths of an inch. * WHERE...Portions of north central and south central Texas. * WHEN...Until noon CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can be found at drivetexas.org. Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
