EVENING FOR MOST OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE WEST OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU.

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 110
possible.

* WHERE...Most of Middle Tennessee west of the Cumberland Plateau.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
counties, Cheatham, Clay, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson,
Fentress, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Macon, Montgomery, Overton,
Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner,
Trousdale, White, Williamson and Wilson.

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms are expected today and tonight.
With abundant moisture, flooding will be possible in any
slow-moving or training thunderstorms that develop,
especially for areas near and north of I-40 and across the
Plateau.
