* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina, including the
following areas, Cherokee and Clay, east Tennessee, including the
following areas, Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount Smoky Mountains,
Bradley, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke Smoky Mountains, East Polk,
Grainger, Hamblen, Hamilton, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson,
Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Morgan, North Sevier,
Northwest Blount, Northwest Carter, Northwest Cocke, Northwest
Greene, Northwest Monroe, Rhea, Roane, Scott TN, Sequatchie, Sevier
Smoky Mountains, Southeast Carter, Southeast Greene, Southeast
Monroe, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, Washington TN and West Polk, and
southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Lee, Russell,
Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected
through tonight. Locations that have recently seen flooding, or
received several inches of rainfall, are at greatest risk of
additional flooding if they receive additional heavy rainfall.
Locations that have already seen flooding should take additional
rounds of heavy rain and storms seriously.

East Central Hamblen County in east Tennessee...
Southwestern Hawkins County in east Tennessee...

* WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 216 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen in the last hour, with additional heavy rain
possible.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rogersville, Bulls Gap, Baileyton, Romeo, McCloud and St. Clair.
