At 742 PM EDT, emergency management reported that PA-309 is impassable due to flooding across the roadway in the vicinity of Lanark and Hopewell Roads. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen in the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.understorms producing heavy rain in HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
