ARMSTRONG, SOUTHERN BUTLER, SOUTHEASTERN CLARION, NORTHEASTERN
INDIANA AND SOUTHERN JEFFERSON PA COUNTIES...

At 432 PM EST, A dangerous snow squall was located along a line from
10 miles west of Rimersburg to near Ford City, or along a line from
10 miles west of Rimersburg to 8 miles south of Kittanning, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads and rapidly falling visibility due to
intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds. Wind gusts
greater than 35 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

Locations impacted include...
Butler, Punxsutawney, Kittanning, Homeacre-Lyndora,
Shanor-Northvue, Meridian, Ford City, Reynoldsville, Meadowood, Oak
Hills, Sarver, New Bethlehem, West Kittanning, Saxonburg, Nixon,
Sykesville, Chicora, Falls Creek, East Brady and Rural Valley.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 90 and 95.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 85 and 92.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads, bridges
and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and be
prepared for sudden loss of traction.

...STRONG WINDS AND LOCALIZED SLICK CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY...

Strong wind gusts, ranging from 35 to 45mph are expected today
with a passing cold front. Take time to secure any loose outdoor
objects.

Along with wind gusts, temperatures will rapidly fall below
freezing from west to east today. Roads, bridges, parking lots,
sidewalks, and other untreated surfaces that are still wet from
rain and snowmelt may freeze leading to patches of black ice.
