...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Franklin, Ripley and Union and the following counties, in Ohio, Butler, Hamilton, Montgomery, Preble and Warren. * WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 627 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Hamilton, Middletown, Fairfield, Mason, Oxford, Miamisburg, Forest Park, Sharonville, Monroe, Blue Ash, Trenton, Franklin, Springdale, Harrison, Batesville, Carlisle, Brookville, Bright, South Middletown and West Chester. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
