Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM... Long Island Sound East of the Mouth of the Connecticut River... Peconic and Gardiners Bays... Long Island South Shore Bays... At 257 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 18 nm southwest of The Coastal Waters Southeast Of Block Island to Entrance to New York Harbor, moving north at 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. &&
